How true it is. If you’ve ever been so down that it made you angry, this is a good sign. If you then decided to get up and do something about it, you’re in a great position.

Remember that feeling. Remember how fed up you were. When that motivation wanes, which it will, have the discipline to keep doing the things that will propel you to new heights.

Before you know it, you’ll be looking back. You’ll be proud, not of what you obtained, but with your resilience.

Don’t be that person who critiques every day, all day, behind a screen. When someone fails, they’re the first ones to talk trash. They never take risks. School, marriage, etc. It’s all a scam to them. Anything that takes discipline, sacrifice and self-control is a scam.

Social media can suck you into that lifestyle and you won’t even notice. It’s all by design.

People that are busy making things happen, don’t have time to hate on others. Those that are doing well in life, whether it’s emotionally, spiritually or financially, don’t punch down.

Don’t be the person that finds pleasure in things that aren’t fruitful or wholesome. I used to judge people based on what they found amusing. I still do. If someone embarrassed themselves in front of others, I never found it too amusing. I would feel embarrassed for them. I would help them.

There are people that find humor in other people’s misery. Well, misery loves company, right?

Ethics are rapidly deteriorating in western culture. More and more, people give their reasoning behind their negative deeds, instead of taking ownership and eradicating it from their lives. For some reason, they believe having an excuse makes it ok. Don’t be that person. They’re always watching.

Time is everything.

Watch any interview with the elderly, and they’ll tell you they wish they didn’t waste so much time on frivolous activities. Or they wish they took more risks in life, which can also be related to time management.

The older you get, the faster time seems to be moving. You graduate high school, then all of a sudden you’re closer to 40 than you are to your high school years.

Take control of your time to ensure that you’re getting the most out of life.

My late grandfather once told me that when there’s nothing you can do and you’ve exhausted every option, do what you can. He told me this in 7th grade. Little did I know that this would be one of the most vital pieces of information I would learn in life.

When you try, you will be knocked down. If you have goals, you will fail. You WILL fail. There will be times where you think there’s no way you can rebound. Good thing your brain doesn’t control your actions, unless you let it.

Are You Valuable?

I’m regularly asked what can be done to remain in good standing within an organization. Easy answer: Be valuable. Be someone that people want to work with and are happy to say it aloud. Provide concreate results that nobody can dispute.

However, that doesn’t mean you’ll remain with that organization. Economic challenges are real, and everyone is affected. Also, no matter how well you’re regarded, it’s wise to always work as though someone is nipping at your heels. You may not seem them, but they’re there.
Life isn’t fair.
