Tupac wouldn’t have made it in today’s world. He would’ve been cut down at a young age, either from giving in to peer pressure, going against his mother’s advice, or maybe even taking his own life.
It’s incredible how crucial support can be. Tupac faced so much in his life, I’m amazed he managed to keep smiling through it all. He had such a positive attitude despite everything. Even his mother’s battle with crack addiction didn’t knock him off his path. The feds couldn’t break his spirit, not even as a little boy. When kids at school teased him for only having one pair of pants, he owned it—he made sure that one pair defined who he was.
When Tupac was on the verge of his big break, there was no jealousy or hate holding him back. Everyone knew from the start that he was destined for greatness. Instead of tearing him down, they lifted him up. They gave him financial support, a place to stay, and even a car because they were tired of him always asking for rides to see his women.
In today’s world, I don’t think he would’ve made it. People aren’t as willing to help, especially when they’re chasing the spotlight themselves. It’s a sad truth.
